BelSACI

The Belgian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BelSACI) was founded more than 30 years ago, and became officially an "asbl/vzw" in 1996, in order to be a legal partner for the national authorities. Our task in promoting better care for allergy patients is highlighted by the ever increasing number of allergic patients, their diversity in sensitization patterns, and an increasing severity of allergic diseases.

BelSACI's aim is to provide a meeting place for allergologists/ clinical immunologists, whatever their primary organ specialty is, as well as to promote teaching, training and research in the field of Allergology and Clinical Immunology. All activities directly or indirectly related to these goals do belong to its task. BelSACI is open to and willing to support initiatives compatible with its own goals.

One of the important aims is to obtain a recognition of Allergology as a competence or (sub) speciality, as it is already established in the majority of the European countries and in the USA. This recognition could lead to a better training and a better patient care.
